Camping Equipment
Needed for Every Campout:
- Backpack or duffel bag to hold all your personal camping gear.
- Class "A" Uniform Shirt (to be worn while traveling).
- Troop 99 Hat (Mandatory).
- Troop "T" Shirt (Class "B" uniform)
- Scout Handbook
- 2 Plastic bags (1 cover backpack or duffel Bag if it rains) (1 Dirty Clothes, wet towels)
- Change of socks, & underwear
- Mess Kit w/cup
- Eating utensils (Fork, Knife, Spoon) (a spoon is recommended)
- Sunscreen & Mosquito repellent (Non-Aerosol)
- Toiletries (Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, deodorant, etc.)
- Toilet Paper
- Shower shoes
- Facecloth & A Shower towel
- 1 QT. Water bottle
- Flashlight (with extra batteries)
- Poncho or raincoat ( Do not use emergency ponchos, not fireproof)
- Hiking boots or sturdy shoes & 1pr. Sneakers
- 1pr. of long pants or shorts & an extra shirt
- Personal first aid kit
- Personal medication (epi-pen, Inhaler)
- Sweatshirt/light jacket
- Light sticks
- Sleeping bag +25 & Pillow w/cover
Optional Items:
- Air mattress or Pad
- Light Blanket or Fleece
- Camp chair
- Sunglasses, wristwatch
- Folding pocket knife w/ your Tote'n Chip Card
- Pencil & Paper, Book to read, Playing cards or Board games
- Camera
- Compass
- Work clothes, work gloves (Clothes that will get dirty or torn)
- Tent w/ground cloth (To be shared with buddy in the patrol)
Seasonal or Special Items:
- Winter coat & gloves
- Waterproof boots
- Thermal underwear (Tops & Bottoms)
- Knit Cap
- Bathing suit & Towel
Items Not Allowed:
- Radios, Tape & CD Players, Televisions
- IPOD's, MP3's, Electronic Games
- Fireworks, Lighters, Matches
- Sheath Knives, Paintball Guns, BB guns, Slingshots, Air soft guns
- Liquid fuel stoves, Lanterns, or tent heaters
- Aerosol cans or Glass containers
Scouts should bring their scout book with them on every campout.
