Scoutmaster Minute

A scout is KIND. A scout understands there is strength in being gentle. He treats others as he wants to be treated. He is not cruel to living things.

General Information

• Dues of $4.00 are due every month. This helps pay for the activities and awards. See Mrs. Burdine, troop treasurer for information.
• Permission slip signed by the parents/guardian (s) is needed for all Scouts who want to go on camp outs. These need to be done at least 1 week before the scheduled campout or other noted times.
• Full uniform is required at Troop meetings. If you scout needs help with obtaining a uniform, please let us know. Remember all Scouts are required to be in full uniform when traveling to camping activities.
• Scout Office is located at the light on the corner of Jefferson and Pilot House (between Casey Chevrolet and Oyster Point). The phone number is 595-3356. See Sharon Blevins for assistance.

Class-A uniform consists of the following:

• Tan or khaki shirt
• Council patch
• Number 99
• Brotherhood patch
• Patrol patch

Scouts should bring their scout book with them to every meeting.
